Psychologists have been saying all along that whoever helps others, is finding that this is just as beneficial to himself. A person feels much better when he is connected to a community, even made up of close friends, groups that share hobbies, and especially if they belong to a church community. When you help someone, even when it wasn’t planned, you get feelings of gratitude and respect. This produces some chemicals in your body called endorphins, which eventually reduce stress. Another study suggests that you say an Our Father or a personal prayer when you are stressed. Physical Yoga also helps, even as much as a little stretching every morning. Another specialist claims that when you are upset or angry or nervous, you have a greater chance for your arteries to get blocked. So, try to calm down ! One study showed that those who attend church, live an average of 7 years more than those who never went to church. Yet one more study in India says that Hindu people who pray daily have 70% less chance of having heart problems. Not to mention the benefit of forgiving others, instead of harboring thought of revenge, and never let it go. So let go, and let God take control of your life.
