We are so poor.....

One day, the father of a wealthy family took his son to visit a small country town. The father wanted to show his son how some families can live in poverty and still feel happy. So they lived for a few days with a poor family in a small farmhouse. When they returned home, the father asked his son ‘so what do you think of our experience with that family?’

‘Well, it was an excellent experience for me, because I saw how some of the poor families live. For example, we have one dog  they have 4. We have a pool in our garden, while they have a large pond.  We bought those lamps for our garden, while they have stars at night. We have a piece of property on which our house stands while they have many fields. We have servants who help us while they help each other. We buy the food we need, while they grow their own crops and vegetables and fruit. We have high walls and gates to protect us against robbers, while they have their friends who protect them from those who would harm them. So I want to thank you dad, for showing me how poor we really are!’
