The cracked pot

A wealthy man had two large clay pots. One of them was perfect, but the other one was slightly cracked. The man’s servant used both pots to bring water to his master. But while the good pot always brought a pot full of water, the cracked one was always half full, as it dripped water along the way. So one day the servant apologized for bringing in only half a pot of water from the cracked pot, while the other one always arrived full. The wealthy man smiled at his servant and told him, ‘don’t you worry my son. Without your knowledge, I had ordered my gardener to plant some wildflowers seeds along the way where the water was dripping. And you look now and see a beautiful row of flowers blooming along the sidewalk.’ Truly God works in a similar way, as nothing is ever lost to Him. Sometimes we feel so helpless and worthless and insignificant, but even there, God is using us to create something special which to Him is spectacular.
