A Nativity in a Franciscan monastery
I visited yesterday an exceptional exhibition of Nativities and Presepios hosted at the President’s Palace in Valletta. Obviously I came back with over 100 photos and I share some of them during the coming few days. Most of them are by Italian and Maltese craftsmen who emphasize simplicity, originality, as well as a pastoral and domestic approach to the theme of the Birth of Christ. Some of the presentations did not present the customary stable of Bethlehem, but instead an event from the life of the Holy Family, as you will see in these three Nativities, with a description under each photo. The Innkeeper says 'No' to Mary and Joseph
'Sorry, No room for you at the Inn.'
