Thank you God:

for befriending me when I felt hurt and alone,

for providing me with the comfort of a home,

for preventing me from falling into the depths of despair,

for reassuring me with kind words and loving care,

for saving me from a life of destitution,

for making me a person with a sense of direction,

for holding me close to you on days grey and dark,

for touching me with your honesty and generosity,

for helping me calm my troubled mind,

for showing me the beauty of a good time,

for teaching me the ways of the world,

for loving me with a beautiful Christian heart.
