God has a way of bringing good out of something evil, or tragic. So many blessings have happened to people who were desperate and at the end of the line, but found salvation when they turned to God. The most obvious proof is Christ's death on the cross which turned into His glorious Resurrection. Think about it..... From the kiss of Judas came salvation on Calvary. From the denial of Peter came a remorseful confession of repentance. The darkness which had enveloped Dismas, the good thief, turned into bright light as he entered paradise soon after he died. The cross became the sign of glorious triumph. People like St. Mary Magdalen and St. Augustine can vouch for a major turnaround in the lives, being saved after their eyes were opened to goodness. Even in our daily lives we notice so many moments of redemption. Out of manure can come out beautifully scented flowers and fresh fruit. After a stormy night, clear skies follow. After the rain, a rainbow shows up as the sun tries to peak from behind the clouds. So never give up – goodness always follows evil. God always prevails.
