I’d like to honor today a skiing superstar who just became the leader of the most wins in skiing. Mikaela Shiffrin just won her 87th victory surpassing the all-time previous leader Ingemar Stenmark who had led with 86 wins for many years. Mikaela had also 136 podiums, that is classifying in 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in skiing competitions. These include the Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super G and Downhill. She is only 28 years old, and may reach the century mark within two years if she keeps her superb form and splendid performances. She was born in Vail, Colorado on March 13, 1995, and won the world championship overall 5 times, in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022 and 2023, besides 2 gold medals and one silver in the Olympics.
