Talk on the Maltese Festa

Feast of St Joseph at Msida.

Today and tomorrow I will be presenting a highly illustrated talk on the Maltese Festa season which is winding down during these days. In conjunction with the feast of the Nativity of Mary, being celebrated at Naxxar, besides three other parishes, this Power Point presentation will highlight several churches in Malta as they are dressed up in their finest during festa week. With hundreds of photos taken over the past 2 years, I will showcase the churches, statues, indoor and outdoor decorations, fireworks (without the noise,) and reveal many artifacts which most people would not have seen, since I'm always looking for the hidden, the unknown and look for a special angle to bring out the unusual and unfamiliar.

The talks will be presented at the Courtyard in Hilltop Gardens, Naxxar today Monday September 4th at 7 PM, and again tomorrow Tuesday September 5th, at 10:30 AM. A notice appeared in the Times of Malta today with two of my photos, also reproduced here in this post, which you can see here:
