The Value of One

If every note would say ‘what is my worth, one single note in a symphony?’ – if this was true, we would never have had any symphonies written.

If every word would say ‘what is my worth in a book with a million words?’  -if this was true, we would not have had any books printed and our libraries will consist of empty shelves.

If every stone would say ‘what is my worth among all these huge buildings?’ – if this was true, we would not have had so many churches, palaces and massive structures.

If every drop of water would say ‘what is my worth in such huge oceans?’ – if this was true, our oceans will be empty and no fish could ever survive.

If every grain of wheat would say ‘what is my worth in the midst of a thousand sacks of grain?’ – if this was true, we would not have any bread to eat.

If every person would say ‘what is my worth in the midst of all this cruelty, injustice and hardship?’ – if this was true, we would not have any ray of peace and hope for future serenity.

Every note helps, every stone helps, every step helps, every word helps, every drop of water helps, and every person is worth much, if he just rolls up his sleeve and helps.
