Pope Leo’s likes

Left to right: Pope Leo, John, Louis Prevost

From an interview on NBC TV with John Prevost, the older brother of Pope Leo XIV, some interesting facts came out, which are worth mentioning.  They talk each day on the phone, and even play Wordle together on line.  He enjoyed his few days at Castelgandolfo, where he used the swimming pool and played some tennis. Pope Leo misses driving, just through a country road, towards the mountains, etc. It’s just not the same having a chauffer all the time. He recently stepped off his pope mobile to receive a gift of a pizza from Aurelio’s, one of his favorite Chicago pizzerias, and he ate the whole thing. His bodyguards took it from him to make sure it was safe. He did reheat it. He did eat every bit of it. Pepperoni is his favorite. His favorite candy is Peeps. Leo was very close to his predecessor, very close to Francis. When they had some domestic problem at home, they always waited for Bob, because he always took care of it. Before becoming Pope, he always enjoyed a John Grisham novel and also liked legal thrillers. He also enjoyed entertaining movies that have a positive outcome. Asked if he’ll ever get to the USA, John responded that he’s going to be there for his funeral, emphasizing that they may have to keep the body on ice for a while, but he’ll get there. We all know by now that his favorite baseball team is the Chicago White Sox.
